Homeland(s), a trio with an original instrumentation led by pianist and composer Matthieu Marthouret, presents its new album LORI, whose music is an open territory devoid of any artistic dictates, a veritable melting pot of sound where the diverse influences and cultures of the three musicians (jazz, Hindustani music, world music) collide, intertwine and merge.
LORI, Matthieu Marthouret's sixth album, forms a diptych with INVOLUTIONS (2022), highlighting the artist's three facets: composer, pianist with the HOMELAND(S) trio and organist with the SPRINGBOK quartet.
